2026 is the centenary of the birth of Marilyn Monroe – or Norma Jeane Mortenson, to use her birth name.
She was arguably the most exciting and powerful woman of the 20th Century, a screen goddess and cultural icon who is the symbol of our secret desires even today.
Marilyn Monroe still fascinates us. But did you know she was a civil rights activist, feminist crusader and sexual revolutionist? In this special Afternoon Lecture our Speaker, John Francis, will uncover for us the rich and revealing story of this complex global persona.
We are delighted to present this Afternoon Lecture at Mayfield Village, Watford.
The lecture will be followed by (optional) Afternoon Tea.
