In any given season we run a number of special events, usually at Moor Park Mansion, for example an Afternoon Lecture followed by Afternoon Tea, or a supper followed by an Evening Lecture. We also hold a Reception for new members, traditionally in the spring. Details are published on this page as soon as available.

TWO LECTURES PLUS TEA/COFFEE AND BUFFET LUNCH
When on rare occasions Norman Rockwell’s paintings now come to auction they sell for millions of dollars, yet in his lifetime he was viewed primarily as an illustrator and his work dismissed by serious art critics. So, what is it that gives his paintings such acclaim?
This morning, in two one-hour lectures, we will explore the boundary between ‘art’ and ‘illustration’ and examine the life, working methods and enduringly popular output of this American 'storyteller with a brush’. The event will close with a Buffet Lunch in the Dining Room of Moor Park Mansion.
