RHS Garden Wisley

Wisley's Old Laboratory Building, viewed from the Jellicoe Canal

There is so much to see in Wisley’s spectacular 240 acres. A private Guided Tour led by a Volunteer Guide showcased the main highlights of the garden for us and after the Tour we had free time to grab a bite to eat, explore our favourite areas and find inspiration for our own gardens. We had ample time to stroll the gardens within gardens, the grand herbaceous borders and the woodland gardens, and be awed by the world-class tender plant collection in the Glasshouse.

Many of the group chose to visit RHS Hilltop, the Home of Gardening Science, a planet-friendly research centre with panoramic views from the Sky Terrace. Some visited the historic displays in the Old Laboratory Building or strolled among the trees of Seven Acres, the Rock Garden and the Oudolf landscape. And of course we left time to visit the Plant Centre and Gift Shop before returning to the coach for our journey home.
