Batsford Arboretum and Sezincote
Outside Visit
11 May 2023
Batsford Arboretum in spring
This Outside Visit takes us to the Cotswolds. We first visit Batsford Arboretun, a 56 acre botanical garden and home to the National Collection of Japanese Flowering Cherries, where we are free to explore at our leisure. There is also a garden centre, gift shop and café, where we can buy lunch.
After lunch we travel the short distance to Sezincote House and Gardens. This unique house is a 200 year old Moghul Indian palace reminiscent of the Taj Mahal, set in grounds of temples, grottoes and waterfalls. We split into two groups for a 30-minute guided tour of the house and have time to explore the exquisite gardens, as well as to purchase refreshments in the Orangery Tearoom.
